NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Every 1st Thursday in May

Direct the intercessory energies of your congregation annually in this nation-wide prayer movement. In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress was signed by President Truman declaring an annual, national day of prayer. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. An average of 5,000 intercessors gather across the Greater New York region at various prayer events held the first week of May. If your church is hosting a prayer event and you would like to be listed in our email announcements, please click here to email your event details. Or call us at 718.721.2626.
